While most of us have BBQs and 4th of July parties on the brain an elite group of gamers is looking to make the world a better place.  Content Creators from creative spaces like YouTube, Twitch and Mixer are gearing up to blitz the internet with games, good vibes and one message, “together we can make a difference.”

What started as a fan meet up for Twitch streamers Professor Browman and King Gothalion has turned into a million dollar fund raising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Let that sink in for a moment, guys who play video games, have put over a million dollars into the hands of researchers and scientists who are trying to kill cancer…this year they aim to raise over 2 million.

The convention takes place in Tampa Bay, Florida and if you can’t jump hop on a plane and fly across the country, don’t worry it’s all happening online.  Kicking off 9am Pacific on Thursday July 5th King Gotahlion will launch 7 days of non-stop streaming to spread the message of St. Jude and raise money for the hospital.  It all ends Thursday July 12th with arguably the biggest streamer on the planet, Fortnite sensation Ninja.
