For some, purchasing a Christmas Tree is a sentimental event. Come holiday season, the heady, pine-scented aisles of the Christmas tree lot will be congested with families debating the merits of Spruce and Norfolk pines. Unless, that is, you value convenience over tradition and are an Amazon Prime member!

This year, the online shopping giant will offer a variety of trees ranging from 2  to 7 feet tall, and in multiple varieties - firs, pines, and spruces.

Some of the trees will be available for Prime shipping. If you're a member you know what that means, if you're not, what rock have you been hiding under? Just kidding. We know there are a few lone-wolf online shoppers out there who'd rather pay shipping than join the Amazon cult.

For those that don't get their kicks at the Christmas Tree lot, and who don't want to dust-buster pine needles out of their cars, there's a new and convenient option for you - Buy your tree online, like you buy everything else.

And you don't even have to feel bad about cutting out the little guy, the National Christmas Tree Association is A-OK with Amazon getting into the Christmas tree game!

"We see their entry into the market as offering consumers another option to purchase a real tree to make their Christmas special, better for the environment and support local Christmas tree growers," Tim O'Conner, the group's executive director told CNN.
