5 Shows To Start (And Finish) This Weekend

March 13, 2020

ALT 949 - San Diego's Alternative

Hey guys! Resident Netflix/Hulu/all other streaming services queen here, Alyssa!

If you're having a lazy weekend, take it from an expert--nothing will make you feel more accomplished than completely finishing a show from start to finish.

So behold...my Top 5 One-Season Show (that you should like..100% binge this weekend) (you're welome!)

5. I Am Not Okay With This (Netflix)

If you love Stranger Things...then you will love this. A *slightly* darker show, but still about a girl with ~powers~ and gets nosebleeds. You know the drill.

4. Dollaface (Hulu)

You know that break-up that shook you up for a few months and resulted in lots of hangovers and shit-talking with friends? THIS is that show in a nutshell. But a lot more laughs than tears, of course.

3. PEN15 (Hulu)

If you were an awkward middle-school preteen in the early 2000s, prepare to get slapped in the nostalgia with this one.

2. Girlboss (Hulu)

Based on the founder of clothing company, Nasty Gal, this one is a such a quick watch that you'll want to rewatch it immediately (I've watched the entire series 6 times so far, nbd). It also is going to inspire you to run to the nearest thrift store and find some GEMS.

1. High Fidelity (Hulu)

NO, not the movie. But yes, it does make references to that 2000 flick. Starring Zoe Kravitz, it's a must-watch for anyone with a bit of a errr...cynical sense of humor.
